Oct 1, 2024 - unscheduled update

Hi all. This is an unscheduled update. As you know, I am on a 3-month blood test program until things change and thankfully, they haven't (I don't think). Over the last few months, I have had something that feels like a cramp between my spine and my left shoulder blade, and it wasn't going away. When it happened, it would make my left arm tingle and my thumb, index finger and middle finger to go numb. Weird. My oncologist decided it was worth a look and since I hadn't had a bone scan in 3 years, we did a bone scan as well as a CT scan. Here are the findings:

  • The tumor spots seem similar but a number of them are "less intense looking".

  • There is a new spot on the right side of my skull (interesting because most of my issues - pain and tumor, appear on the left side).

  • They tell me that this is not always cancer related and with an undetectable PSA I shouldn't be concerned???

  • He doesn't think the shoulder pain is cancer related though he stated the CT scan doesn't show well enough and that if we wanted to find it we could try an MRI. I elected to pass as it won't likely change any treatment plans.

Anyway, I just wanted to pass that along. My next real appointment will be later in October. I remain blessed and thankful.  I know they have diagnosed me as terminal, but God is bigger than a diagnosis and I know that you all are praying for me, and I can't tell you how much that means to me/us.  Buying time is good and I am thankful.

Thanks all and I hope to see you soon.

Jason
